lavender obsession

Recently I've been looking for lavender related products. I bought a lavender body scrub from local store the other day and I just can't stop sniffing and slathering it on my body. That makes me very tempted to buy more products with lavender extract it in because I heard that lavender is a good natural mosquito repellent and great for improving skin texture. I did a little research about it and I found that lavender oil has so many good benefits to our body! The more I read about usage of lavender oil, the more I want it!
one day, this would be the view from my house
Lavender has always been one of my favorite plants because of reasons (maybe a blogpost dedicated to this will be made in the future). I adore everything about it. The scent especially, gives me such a comforting feeling. I think it's because when I was a kid, my mom used to burn lavender scented aromatherapy in her bedroom when it rained so we could stay in and watch TV for the whole day, but she ain't got time to do that no more and so do I! Now whenever I detect the scent, it will always bring me back to those good memories with my mom.

Now a little bit off the nostalgic-lavender-scent topic, I've also been obsessed with lilac/purple/lavender colored makeup, especially for blusher and lip products! I also found few inspirations from the internet that makes me even more pumped to start my collection (ノ゜ω゜)ノ*:・゚✧*:・゚✧
TOMOTOMO // June 2011
Stylenanda // 3ce
Prabal Gurung // Spring 2014
Oh purple lips ;;u;;

These are top three looks I love the most that incorporated purple hues. I personally think this shade looks flattering on every skin tone, the only decision you need to make before making a purchase of particular products is the depth of the color and what suit your skin undertone (▰˘◡˘▰) I also made a little list of products with cool lilac undertone from purple-y mauve to true lavender.
And to kick start my collection, I already bought a purple blusher from the face shop! The color isn't very pigmented, but with 2 layers, I can already see the brightening effect and slight lavender tint on my cheeks under natural lightning! All and all, very nice and cute little product to use as highlighter and lavender blush! Pretty good dupe for this Shu Uemura's blush (*◕‿◕*)

  1. I've always wanted to explore the fields of lavender, it looks so beautiful in picture. Lavender is one of my favorite colors as well, since I like purple and violet :)
