save the honey bees

I decided to show you my all time favorite encyclopedia about bees here because I want to share a little bit about them. Not many people are aware that bees are very important in our environment's cycle. Why do you think we still have life here on earth? One of crucial reasons is because humble bees provide our sources of food and also adorned our planet with beautiful flowers.

A lot of people are having imaginative phobia of bees because they're afraid that bees would sting them. I'd say even if you get stung, it wouldn't kill you (unless you're allergic to bee venom), plus, worker bees only sting if they feel threatened, so unless you're messing with them, they won't touch you a bit.

Start small with your bee saving journey. Bees are thirsty, so keep a water basin/cup outside your house. It would be better if you mix some sugar in it. If you see a bee on the ground, do not step on it! Sometimes, when bees are tired of flying, they will rest on the concrete so it's not an odd thing they do. If you give them sugar water, they will be recharged and back to work. By doing so, you're already saying your gratitude towards their hard work, and of course they will keep on pollinating and keep the food chain goes on. Also, plant herbs like lavender or catmint for starters. Sunflower and poppy are also favorites of bees, so you might want to keep a pot or two of them outside your garden or backyard.
Buy organic food, support your local farmers, choose raw natural honey, and let's coexist with this beautiful creature for longer time!
Please spread the word to save our bees!

  1. This is so cool, Jenn! *o* I didn't think I'd be so interested in bees but when I do get my own place I'm definitely going to plant a few flowers and leave sugar water out!
